Massages can also help to relive pain in the body and cure headaches. Healing injuries and retaining muscle and joint mobility are also accredited to massages. If you are having any type of problems with these areas and traditional medical procedures are not working for you, talk to your health care provider about the alternative therapy options like massage.
There are different kinds of massages and a professional will usually practice one or two of these. You need to visit someone who can help you with your needs. There are Swedish massages that are focused on relaxation or deep tissue massage and they are focused on loosening muscle tissues up.
Some of the different massages can target certain parts of the body. A Cranio-Sacral massage will focus on your neck, head, and spine to get it working properly in the right alignment again. This will also loosen up the tight muscles in the body. Chi Nei Tsang is one type of massage that will focus on your abdominal organs and help you with your digestive pain or disease. If your joints are giving you the problem, you need to use The Trager Approach. This is a kind of massage that will improve your life when it is done the right way. The other types of massages are going to relax or relieve stress like the Rosen Method. All of the massages should make you feel physically and emotionally better. There are a few types of massage like the deep tissue massage that can be a little painful and should only be used if the doctor recommends it for you. Rolfing is one of these techniques that work to align your tissues the right way and straighten the spine up. Even after this massage, you should feel better and not worse. If your condition gets worse, you need to speak to your doctor and take different measures right away.
The other kinds of massage that may work for you will include the Alexander technique, acupressure, feldenfrais, reflexology, Reiki, and Shiatsu methods. There are different ways to use these techniques and you need to research them a lot before you make an appointment. You can find out information on how to perform the simple massage techniques on yourself to improve your comfort level or you can buy a massage chair for the home or office. Your doctor or massage therapist can help you figure out what is going to be best for you and what your body needs the most.
Disease in Ayurveda
'Vyadhi', it is what is called for disease in Ayurveda. According to ayurveda, it is the state of body and mind in which they are subjected to pain, injury and discomfort. As per this age old medicine the basic reason is imbalance of the three common doshas - Vata, Pitta and kapha. This blog has already talked about these three doshas in the previous blog posts. The state of balance or equilibrium between these three doshas in the body is called health and the state of disequilibrium or imbalance is so called vyadhi or disease. The imbalance may be due to an increase or decrease in one, two or all the three doshas or the excess use of body senses.

Ayurvedic and Dietary Treatments for High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure or hypertension is the condition when the blood flow in the arteries and veins is forced under a higher pressure than normal. This can happen due to the weakness of the heart or due to the buildup of cholesterol in the coronary arteries, which can reduce their lumen. Today, most people in the world are suffering from hypertension, though it is not always fatal. Proper medication and a positive lifestyle can make people with higher blood pressures lead a long and happy life. However, neglect can cause severe fatal problems like myocardial infarctions (heart attacks).
High blood pressure is known as Rakta Gata vata in Ayurveda. It can be caused due to vitiation of any of the three doshas, though the contribution of the vata dosha may be more, as it is responsible for the circulation of blood. The following are the main precipitating factors for people with different doshas:-
1. Vata type of Hypertension – This is caused by extreme emotions such as worry, anxiety and stress.
2. Pitta type of Hypertension – This is caused by negative emotions such as hatred, jealousy and feeling for revenge.
3. Kapha type of Hypertension – This is caused by problems with the digestive system.
(1) Useful Herbs in the Treatment of High Blood Pressure
1. Alfalfa (Medicago satina)
Alfalfa contains several elements which are needed in the softening of the hard arteries. This reduces the tension in the arteries and hence helps to treat hypertension.
2. Bloodwort (Achillea millefolium)
Bloodwort is a sweat-inducing herb. It makes the blood flow towards the skin for expelling the sweat. Due to this free movement of the blood, the high blood pressure is reduced. Bloodword contains an alkaloid which is effective in reducing high blood pressure.
3. Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic is an antispasmodic agent. Hence it reduces the pressure in the arteries caused due to the pumping action of the heart during blood circulation. Garlic creates a rhythm in the pumping of the heart, which eases the pulse. Other high blood pressure problems such as dizziness, shortness of breath and indigestion are also taken care of by garlic. Garlic is widely considered to be the best remedy for high blood pressure.
4. Jaundice Berry (Berberis vulgaris)
Jaundice berry is another very effective remedy in the treatment of high blood pressure. It eases the tension in the arteries by making them dilate. Thus the blood flow in them is facilitated.
5. Parsley (Petroselinum crispum)
Parsley is like a monitor of the blood vessels. It regulates the flow of blood in them and maintains easy circulation. It looks after the entire arterial system. Hence it is a very beneficial herb for people with high blood pressure.
6. Rauwolfia (Rauwolfia serpentina)
The effects of rauwolfia on the arteries and veins of the human system have been investigated in detail, and immensely positive results have been obtained. Rauwolfia has a treasure-trove of alkaloids for easing the arteries, synchronizing the blood flow in them, reducing palpitation and even removing the cholesterol buildup in the arteries. Hence, practitioners of all forms of medicine acknowledge the effects of rauwolfia. In Ayurveda especially, the root of the rauwolfia is prescribed for hypertension patients. The Ayurvedic name for rauwolfia is sarpagandha.
(2) Dietary Treatments for High Blood Pressure
A strict dietary regimen is important to seek early treatment from high blood pressure. The following points must be obeyed:-

Body Consitution or Prakriti in Ayurveda
he Pancha mahabhutas "-namely place, atmosphere, flame, water, and earth--manifest in the human physiology and soul as three basic bio energies known as the three doshas From place and atmosphere comes Vata, which regulates our energies and movements. From flame and water comes Pitta, which gives us passion and perception and the capability to translate substances within our bodies. From water and ground comes Kapha, which take s upward our system, our pulp and secretions, and creates solidity and cohesion. Through the activity of the tridosha we duplicate the good Cosmic Forces in our own bodies and enter in the everlasting cosmic dancing of introduction, upkeep, and devastation. The old sages observed that although every person is constituted of the three doshas, each of us inherits them in differing proportions. This accounts for our differences in appea rance, preferences, aversions, behavioral patterns, and passionate tendencies. The dimension of the three doshas submit in a person at birth will decide his or her vital constitution or prakruthi. Prakruthi comes from two Sanskrit roots which intend "the initial introduction" or alternatively this intriguing language can too intend "to go forth into introduction. It represents how we initially go into living before any deviations have taken spot. The prakruthi remains unaltered during the class of one's life and is genetically determined. Prakruthi represents the dimension of the doshas, which represents the perfect country of equilibrium, and it serves as the finish for us to endeavor toward. It will unmistakable in us throughout our living times through our physiological characteristics, normal urges, likes and dislikes, and mental predilections as we have stated above. However, one's prakruthi will too decide to a good extent how one will produce the highest decree of human qualities: enjoy, mercy, and sheer awareness.
Thus the proportion of the three doshas which a person inherits will be at the foundation of his or her experience and existence. From the perspective of the Ayurvedic physician, precise determination of the prakriti is absolutely mandatory as the first step in formulating a course of action for each patient.

Human Body Wastes or Malas
Another significant element in maintaining better health is the appropriate liquidation of wastes; faeces, urine, and perspire [sundry wastes includes tears (heart), spitting (knife), oily secretions (rind), mucoid secretions (mucus membrane), and smegma (excreta from genitals. Malas (system wastes) assist preserve the appropriate functioning of our organs. Faeces (purisha) offer backing and color to the system along with maintaining the temperature of the colon.
Improper functioning can head to Vayu illnesses like concern, dread, a feel of being ungrounded, nervousness, headaches, gasoline, distention and impairment. Proper liquidation of the faeces is damaged by the undue consumption of purgatives, colonics, concern, and dread (concern can produce both inappropriate functioning or be a by-product of this dysfunction. It is too damaged by undue travelling, the incorrect foods (such as trash nutrient or foods that are overly soft or overly thick), oversleeping, chocolate, drugs, antibiotics, inadequate drill and prolonged diarrhoea.
In Ayurvedic literature, it has been understandably stated that debilitated persons suffering from tuberculosis should not be given any sort of purgatives, as it is the stool that preserve the temperature of such persons. Urine (mutra) expels water and new strong wastes from the system. Poor urine liquidation results in bladder pain or transmission, hard urination, fever, hunger, arid lip, or dehydration. It is affected by diuretic drugs, alcohol, undue sexuality, injury, fright or consumption of overly few liquids. Sweat (sweda) controls the system temperature by expelling extra water and toxins, cools the system, moistens the rind and hair, carries off extra fat from the system and purifies the blood.
Excess perspiration can induce rind diseases (normally Pitta related) like eczema, boils, fungus, combustion rind, dehydration, tiredness or convulsions (caused by Vayu. Deficient perspiration can ensue in tight hair, rind fissures, arid rind, dandruff, wrinkles or susceptibility to colds and influenza (i.e., peripheral circulation). Sweating is damaged by eating too many dry foods, lack of salt, excessive or deficient exercise, and excessive use of diaphoretic herbs or excess sweating.

Dhatus in Ayurveda - Building blocks Human Body
The elements of Sapta (seven) Dhatus (tissue) form the pillars of the body which form the means of feeding and growth while providing support for the body as well as the mind.
Rasa Dhatu (fluid)-derived from food digested, it feeds every cell and tissue of the body and is analogous to the plasma.
Rakta (blood) Dhatu - regarded as the basic unit of life, it is similar to the blood cells flow. It nourishes not only the tissues of the body, but provides physical strength and color to the body.
Masma Dhatu - the fabric of muscle, its primary function is to provide physical strength and support for the dhatu of meda.
Meda (wholesale) Dhatu - consists of adipose tissue in providing support to ashti dhatu. It lubricates the body.
Ashti Dhatu - including bone tissues, including cartilage, its primary function is to provide support to dhatu of majja and provide support to the masma dhatu.
Majja Dhatu - denoting the fabric yellow and red marrow, its principal function is to fill the ashti oleate in the body.
Shukra Dhatu - the main purpose of this reproductive tissue must assist reproduction and strengthen the body.
Since the support of dhatus and derive energy from each other, affecting one can influence others. For example, the interference in the production of plasma affects the quality of blood, which in turn affects the muscle. Each type of tissue has its own agni, which determines the metabolic changes of the tissues. And byproducts of forms, which are used in the body or excreted. The menstrual periods, for example, are a by-product of rasa. The fabrics are also governed by the three doshas, and any imbalance in them also causes imbalances in the dhatus. Heavy periods can also be caused by the effects of excess Kapha on plasma.
Agni in Ayurveda
According to ayurveda most of the ailments or diseases are caused due to the weak process of digestion. Agni (enzyme) is found in the tube food and digesting food. Samagni is produced by the normal digestion of the three doshas. The activity digestive (healthy, excessive or deficient) is governed by the doshas becoming worse. The three doshas produce three agnis (vishamagni, tikshnagni and mandagni respectively).
Vayu excessive body produces in the digestion and gas weak and irregular causes. Pitha excessive creates a situation like an oven overheated. The food stroll up quickly and people experiencing burning sensations, thirst, acidity, indigestion, etc. In some cases, the agni / tramps equal fire rose food, causing malnutrition. When excessive Kapha is present in the digestive region, the digestive fire is low, making it difficult to digest food. Accordingly, a person feels mate, poor, unsatisfactory and lethargic; stomach is heavy or the person may experience constipation. The disorders Vayu produce hard stools due to the drought caused by the gas. The Pitha stools are soft or liquid due to the excessive heat. The stools Kapha are moderates. A healthy stool is moderate and easily eliminated once or twice a day.

About trigunas in Ayurveda
Sorting average grades three and means of gunas, as well Trigunas identifies three qualities, which determines the nature, beliefs and perceptions of people .
According to ayurvedic principles three gunas are classified as:
* Satwa
* Rajas
* Tamas
These three gunas - Trigunas - are found in nature as well as the spirit corresponding to the three doshas (vatha, pitha, kapha) from the body. Just as the three doshas in the body are the essential components of the body, the three gunas - Satwa, Rajas, Tamas - the essential components (or energy) of mind, describing the mental state of mind of a person . Ayurveda advocates a description and a unique distinction of persons on the basis of the psychological state (constitution) of their minds Manasa Prakriti. Genetically determined, these psychological characteristics depend on the relative dominance of the three gunas.
While all individuals have the three gunas in various proportions, the three predominant guna determines a mansa Prakriti (constitution of pshychological person mindset), which balances the mind and body, now in a healthy condition. Any disorder in the balance as a result of various types of mental disorders.
Satwa Guna characterized by lightness, conscience, pleasure and lucidity, is pure, free of the disease and can not bend and disturbed in any way. It activates the senses and is responsible for the collection of knowledge.
Rajas Guna which is the most active of gunas, characterized the movement and stimulation. Any wants, desires, aspirations and the erratic-intelligence is a result of the rajas of guna.
Tamas Guna which characterizes the weight and immunity, produces disturbances being perceived (as a thought) and activities of the mind. Habits hallucinations, laziness, apathy, drowsiness and sleepiness are due to him.
The balance of Rajas and Tamas, just like with the doshas can be disturbed by effort, and desires negative vibes as kama (lust), irshya (venom), moha (hallucination), lobha (avarice and greed), chintja (concern and sake), bhaya (fear) and krodha (anger).
Individuals of Satwika (with guna of Satwa) are usually very noble and spiritual in nature, their nature and moods are determined by their body type as well as the positioning of their takes the lead role. They have an element of kapha in their constitutions.
The three gunas - satwa, rajas and tamas - are found in nature and in spirit, highlighting the three doshas parallel body. Satwa, or purity, is the ideal state of mind because a person with that quality is calm, alert, friendly and thoughtful. A person whose mind is principally rajasic (too active) is still seeking deviations (ceaseless activity). The mind-tamas predominant spirit is a dull and lethargic.
Just as combinations of Vayu, Pitha and Kapha exist for the body, the mind has combinations satwa, rajas, and tamas. Individuals whose minds are satwic and rajasic are those studying measures enthusiastically spiritual and holistic improvement. Rajasic-tamasic took care of people and will be actively working to overcome their lethargy.
The balance of the mind and development of purity and peace assist in the development of a spirit satwic. This is the first stage of samadhi or spiritual realisation.
To determine the cause of the disease, the doctor observes, is challenging and takes the pulse of the patient. The study of the cause, or see its incubatory start, developmental, or advanced stages can assist in the arrangement of the disease.
