Metal Toxicity - How can we avoid?

Our kitchen has got different kinds of vessels, which is made up of variety of metals and their alloys. It is quite eveident that during the process of cooking some portion of this metal gets dissolved into our food. So it has become obvious that we eat not only cooked food but small quantities of metal.

The tinned copper and brass vessels which we are using is an alloy of tin and lead. There is a percentage 55% to 70% of lead in the alloy vessels, as you all know lead is a toxic substance. Lead pipes carrying water are another source of this type of pollution. Lead affects our nervous system which leads to poor memory and lose of concentration and nervous disability in the long run.
Aluminum vessels and Iron / stainless steel vessels also have adverse effect in our health. My information about aluminium vessels is not available right now.

Do you know metals like disunion, vanadium or manganese are present in the stainless steel vessels which we are using which is an alloy of iron, which can definitely poison our system.
The use of pans with non-sticking coatings, is able to create holes in the protective Ozone layer in the long run of the atmosphere.
So which type of vessels is ideal for cooking?
Yes, it is the use of of Earth era pots?. Though it sounds uncivilized, cooking can be safely done in Earth era pots and then prepared food can be transferred in to other vessels.

The use of glass vessels too would be a welcome change as they are pollution free.

I had a great time in Cochin when I was there last year. In fact, the backwater boat ride is one of my most favorite life time experiences. Extremely soothing!
